Back to the Present: Mother's Day Weekend

Okay, so now I'm caught up...well sort of. This past weekend, Chris and I spent a lot of time with our families, which was nice since it was mother's day weekend. On Friday night we went home (to the county) and met up with some friends at Green Turtle for dinner...yummy :) It's always nice to be able to come back to the same people you've been friends with for years.

Saturday, Chris and I ran some errands in the morning/early afternoon and then went to Jenn and Brian's (Chris's sister and her husband). We hadn't seen Ethan in about a month and boy does he grow fast! He looks like a different baby! Brian cooked up some hamburgers and hotdogs on the grill and we had a great time with Chris's parents, Brian's parent's and grandparents, and Colleen.

Finally, on Sunday, Ryan came home for the summer and we celebrated Mother's Day at my parent's house with Aunt Carla and Grandma Rita. Grandma and Grandpa Buff came over later in the afternoon too. Dad made some delicious kabobs...I think Mom and Grandma really enjoyed themselves :)

Hershey Park

So, last weeked, the first weekend of my sickness, Chris and I had already planned to go to Hershey Park with Robert, Danielle, David, Tifanni, and some of her friends from college. I love amusement parks, so I decided to chance it. As long as I didn't eat, I didn't feel bad...just tired. Besides being sick, I had a lot of fun. Robert and Danielle are fun to hang out with. David and Tif ended up staying at the park a lot longer than we did, but we were ALL exhausted. I think we're going to try to go to Cedar Point sometime this summer. I can't wait! :)

In OTHER big news, while we were at the hotel on Saturday night, May 3rd, I got a text message from Mallory saying that she's ENGAGED! I am so happy for her and Chris! I don't think they've set a date or anything but I think they're leaning toward sometime in the next year or year and a half. I can't wait to be a part of my best friend's wedding! :)

Exhausted

So we took the red-eye flight from Vegas to Dulles on Saturday night, and arrived in D.C. around 7:00 a.m. Then by the time we got our luggage and drove back to Baltimore, I didn't get to really sleep until about 10 a.m. After I woke up, I got ready and Chris and I went out to eat at Don Pablo's (I had a craving for quesadillas!). I was still pretty tired after dinner, so we ended up going to sleep pretty early Sunday night, like 8:30 or 9? Anyway, I woke up feeling quite refreshed at 6 a.m. Monday morning, ready to go to work. My day was going well until about 9:30 when I all of a sudden felt incredibly sick...so random? At first I thought it might have been the quesadilla's from the night before, but who knows.

I have been feeling the effects of this "illness" for about 2 weeks now. After about a week of not eating, nausea, and extreme exhaustion, I went to the doctor who just said it was probably a virus. Go figure. A few days after that, I got back my appetite and I'm back to eating regularly. Thank goodness! However, I'm extremely exhausted most of the time. The doctor said that it's probably Epstein Barr reoccurring from when I had it in high school. Back then when I had it I felt the exhaustion effects for months afterwards (something called Chronic Fatigue Syndrome...really!) Hopefully I start feeling better soon! I have too many things coming up to miss out on!

Speaking of which here's the list of upcoming events:
  • Tomorrow: Real Estate Final
  • Friday: Last 2 finals...EVER.
  • Friday night: Our anniversary dinner
  • Saturday: PA to visit Chris's Grandmom and go to Mike Maricle's graduation party
  • Sunday: Move some stuff from my apartment to my parents house?
  • Monday: Our actual anniversary (6 years! WOW!)
  • Wednesday: Actually moving home.
  • Thursday: GRADUATION!
  • Saturday: My graduation party
  • Sunday: Jess's graduation party
  • Monday: Early flight to ARUBA!
  • June 16th: I start training at the Greenbelt Marriott for my CAREER! :)
Busy Busy Busy...there is NO time to be tired/sick! Luckily I feel okay other than being tired, otherwise I don't know what I'd do!

Vegas, Baby!

So, the Vegas trip I had been waiting for has come and gone, and even though we only went for a couple of days, I had an awesome time! It took us most of the trip to get used to the 3-hour time difference, but I think once Saturday rolled around we were ready to go home. Some highlights of the trip included:
  • The magnificent casino's -- they were all decorated, inside and out, like a dream. VERY COOL.
  • LOVE by Cirque Du Soleil...a Cirque Du Soleil show set entirely to Beattles music. Awesome, if you're into that sort of thing.
  • The strip at night. (Gambling & Nightlife) -- I won over $200 on video roullete! Go Me!
  • The strip during the day. (Sightseeing)
  • The Bellagio water show.
I thought the food was pretty mediocre, but we didn't eat anywhere that was supposed to have great food.

I can't figure out how to get the pictures to come after the text...oh well. And I couldn't pick "just a few" pictures either...so, enjoy!

Family Time :)

So, the weekend after my birthday, April 19th and 20th, I spent a lot of time with family. Chris went to Atlantic City with Geoff and Kyle, so I headed home for the weeked. On Saturday, my Mom and I went to a CAbi party with Aunt Carla. CAbi stands for Carol Anderson by invitation. It's sort of like a tupperware party, but instead of the tupperware, they're selling clothes...my favorite! :) Anyway, it was really cool. The clothes are seperated by line and the pieces from each line are mix & match. It's like Gymboree for adults! Aunt Carla was nice enough to buy me a skirt/dress and a jacket for my birhday present. The dress has come in but I need a belt to go with it and the jacket was back-ordered. Once they all come in, I'll post a picture.

After the CAbi party, we headed up to Aunt Ida and Uncle Steve's for passover dinner. Although I'm not a very religious person, I like to celebrate with my family and to learn more about the religion itself. However, it was a very chaotic night! Charlie had only one badge to get as a cub scout, the camping badge. So, he and 5 or 6 other boys were there to sleep oustside in the backyard in a tent. Needless to say 5 or 6 ten-year-olds is a handful. All in all it was a great dinner, as usual :)

On Sunday, Aunt Carla came down to our house for a "scrapbooking day". That's the third time we've had one of those, and somehow we end up eating and talking instead of getting anything done. Go figure! Maybe next time!

Bad Blogger

Ok, so I am VERY bad at keeping up with this blog thing. I knew I would be. Anyway, a lot has been going on this past month, so I'll try to post a seperate blog about each event that's happened, and some pictures. Hopefully I'll get caught up before the next big thing happens, and I'm even more behind!

Here goes...
